About LensDude
Sharpen Your Focus — One Shot at a Time
My photography journey began long before smartphones existed.
As a kid, I shot with Kodak Instamatic cameras and learned the magic of instant prints from my grandpa on his Polaroid. In 1983, I wandered the Rose Parade bleachers selling Kodak film as a street vendor, unknowingly training my eye and curiosity.
Over the decades I’ve used countless cameras — and today, many of my favorite images come from my Pixel 9, proving that the heart of photography has always been vision, not equipment.
Through thousands of photos taken across Lake Arrowhead, city streets, abstract shapes, quirky signs, and dog portraits, I’ve developed a style built on observation, patience, and appreciation for everyday beauty.
As a Google Local Guide, my photos and reviews have reached people worldwide, reinforcing a belief I now hold strongly:
You don’t need expensive gear to fall in love with photography — you just need curiosity, clarity, and a guide you can trust.
That’s exactly why I created LensDude.
Why LensDude?
LensDude focuses on Sony lenses because narrowing the niche allows for clearer guidance, deeper coverage, and more helpful content for beginners.
The photography world can feel overwhelming — specs, jargon, charts, debates, deep-dive technical reviews. LensDude is the opposite: a place where photography becomes simple, human, and accessible. A place for everyday shooters, not engineers.
Whether you’re shooting with a Sony mirrorless camera or a smartphone like me, LensDude helps you sharpen your eye, choose wisely, and enjoy the process of creating.
